Methodological Solutions for Public Health: Results of the Project Presentation at an International Conference

Within the framework of the scientific and practical conference with international participation “Medicine, Law and Security in Wartime: Strategic Priorities and Pathways for Intersectoral Cooperation,” held on May 26–28, 2026, a key plenary session entitled “Methodological and Digital Solutions in Public Health Monitoring” took place on May 28.

The central event of the session was the discussion of a new disease prevention methodology being developed under a state-commissioned research project.

During the session, the results of scientific research and practical developments were presented, aimed at improving the system for monitoring population health, advancing preventive medicine, and introducing modern digital tools into the field of public health.

The following presentations were delivered to the conference participants:

  • “Methodological Aspects of Developing a Population Health Monitoring System: Components, Data Sources and Methods of Analysis” – T.S. Hruzieva, H.V. Inshakova;
  • “Results of a Sociological and Epidemiological Study of the Health Status of the Population of Ukraine” – A.A. Melnychenko;
  • “Methodological Tools of the Population Health Monitoring System: From a Reactive to a Proactive Model of Prevention Management” – O.O. Oshyvalova, O.L. Ziukov;
  • “Visualization of Public Health Data Using Microsoft Power BI” – O.B. Besarab;
  • “Results of the Public Discussion of the Developed Disease Prevention Methodology Based on Monitoring Population Health and Risk Factors” – O.Yu. Galkin, O.K. Biloshytska.

During the discussion, participants addressed current challenges in public health monitoring under wartime conditions, issues related to the integration of data from various sources, the use of modern analytical approaches and digital technologies to support management decisions, as well as prospects for developing proactive models of disease prevention in Ukraine.

The plenary session served as an important platform for exchanging experience among researchers, healthcare professionals and representatives of public authorities, contributing to the further development of intersectoral cooperation and the implementation of innovative approaches to preserving population health.
