At Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the university and the international charitable organization Protez Foundation. The document establishes a strategic partnership aimed at developing modern prosthetics technologies, strengthening rehabilitation programs, and implementing joint educational and research projects.
Within the framework of this cooperation, the parties plan to conduct training programs and workshops, engage world-class experts, carry out joint research on innovations in the field of orthotics and prosthetics, and create expanded opportunities for students’ practical training in line with current international standards.
Particular emphasis is placed on the development of clinical skills, working with patients with amputations, improving the prosthetic and rehabilitation process, and implementing new technologies in collaboration with the KPI Educational and Research Laboratory of Prosthetics, Medical Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapy.
Within this partnership, the parties will jointly develop:
- innovative prosthetics technologies;
- practical clinical training for students;
- modern educational programs and training courses;
- research in the field of rehabilitation and prosthetics.
The signing of the Memorandum is an important step toward building a powerful interdisciplinary platform that brings together science, education and practical support for patients. This partnership will help enhance the training quality of students at the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, strengthen the university’s research capacity, and promote the implementation of innovations in the prosthetic and rehabilitation support system in Ukraine.
