On September 29, 2025, the 5th SIIRI–SEAM Symposium gathered leading scientists from Germany, Australia, Poland, and Ukraine. The event focused on cutting-edge research in biomedical engineering, nanotechnologies, and implant systems.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was represented by:
- Prof. Oleksandr Galkin, Dean of the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering,
- Assoc. Prof. Kateryna Drozdenko, Assoc. Prof. of the Department of Acoustic and Multimedia Electronic Systems, Faculty of Electronics.
In their joint talk “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute’s Research Opportunities in Biomedical Engineering and Implant Technologies”, they presented KPI’s key research directions, including:
- development of novel biomaterials and biocompatible implants,
- application of artificial intelligence in diagnostics and treatment,
- biotechnology of therapeutic proteins and monoclonal antibodies,
- regenerative medicine and tissue engineering,
- electroacoustic systems,
- psychoacoustic rehabilitation and psychocorrection.
This participation underlined KPI’s role as an active contributor to the global scientific community and strengthened opportunities for future international cooperation.
