On September 13, 2024, an associate professor of the Department of Translational Medical Bioengineering Tetyana Mykolaivna Lutsenko held an open lecture on the discipline “Cell, tissue and biopharmaceutical engineering” for students of the ZF-41mp group.
At the lecture, the scientific-practical and engineering-technological principles of obtaining and using stem cells, the main sources of obtaining these cells, methods of their characterization and prospects for their use in regenerative medicine were considered. Medical applications of embryonic stem cells, tissue-specific progenitor stem cells, and multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells were reviewed in detail. The system of differentiation clusters, which is used in immunophenotyping to assign cells to one or another type based on marker molecules present on cell membranes, is considered.
The open lecture was attended by: Professor Oleksandr Galkin, Deputy Dean for Methodological Work Valentina Motronenko, Head of the Department Oleksandr Besarab, Associate Professor Olena Bespalova, Associate Professor Natalia Poedynok, Associate Professor Olena Golembiovska, Head of Department Laboratories Dmytro Sklyar, Assistant Lilia Dronko, Assistant Natalia Bertosh, Associate Professor of the Department biosafety of human health Yuliya Antonova-Rafi, associate professor of the department of health and sports technologies Iryna Zenina.
