In the period from September 9 to 13, 2024, a delegation of the Igor Sikorsky KPI has visited the University of Burgundy, Dijon, France. The delegation has included representatives of the following faculties: the Biomedical Engineering Faculty, the Chemical Engineering Faculty, the Management and Marketing Faculty, and the Linguistics Faculty. The visit has taken place within the framework of strategic cooperation between the universities. Among the representatives of the Igor Sikorsky KPI University of Burgundy was also visited by the dean of the Biomedical Engineering Faculty Alexander Galkin.
Representatives of the following divisions of the University of Burgundy took part in the negotiations and professional discussions:
- Faculty of Law, Economics and Political Sciences;
- Faculty of Languages and Communication;
- Faculty of Health Sciences;
- Faculty of Sports;
- Faculty of Science and Technology;
- Faculty of Life, Earth and Environmental Sciences;
- School of Materials Research and Engineering.
During working meetings and discussions, professor Alexander Galkin presented the scientific schools of the faculty to his French colleagues and revealed the potential for educational cooperation in the following areas:
- medical (clinical) engineering and biomedical electronics;
- technologies and engineering of biosafety and biosecurity;
- technologies of regenerative medicine, biopharmaceutical engineering;
- physical therapy (rehabilitation), occupational therapy, prosthetics;
- sports rehabilitation, adaptive sports;
- biomedical cybernetics (in particular, medical imaging).
Issues of cooperation in the field of academic mobility (master’s students, post-graduate students, teachers), scientific periodicals, and institutional implementation of the principles of open science were discussed.
Medical imaging, biosafety, adaptive sports and development of pharmaceutical products have been identified as the most priority directions for educational and scientific cooperation.
