In May 2025, the Faculty of Biomedical Engineering of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” launched a strategic collaboration with the U.S.-based nonprofit organization See Forward Ukraine, which has served as a bridge between Ukrainian academic institutions and the American scientific community since 2022.
A key figure in this initiative is Natasha Dukach — Co-Founder and CEO of See Forward Ukraine, volunteer, data analyst, epidemiologist, and public health advocate currently working in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

The first outcome of this partnership was the launch of an intensive online course, “Fundamentals of Public Health Analytics”, held from May 19 to June 7, 2025. The course was designed for PhD students and early-career researchers at the faculty. It covered core topics such as basic statistical methods, probability theory, data analysis, and epidemiologic measures of association.

See Forward Ukraine plays an important role as a scientific liaison and resource bridge between the U.S. and Ukraine, helping to sustain Ukrainian education, science, and institutional resilience even in challenging geopolitical times. The partnership is set to continue in fall 2025, with plans to expand the thematic scope, involve additional experts, and develop joint research initiatives.
The Faculty of Biomedical Engineering sincerely thanks See Forward Ukraine and Natasha Dukach for their invaluable support and meaningful contribution to strengthening international academic solidarity.
We are grateful for this partnership and continued support of Ukrainian science.
Stay tuned — more exciting initiatives are on the way!
